Application Summary
AI Summary
Access road now tracks existing surface above Water of Leith, ditching the planned verge and enlarging gardens; driveways lengthened to soften gradients and provide level pedestrian approach to each plot. .
Original Description
Non-Material Variation to Planning Consent 21/01983/FUL. 1. Alter access road to omit proposed verge and follow the existing road. Note the existing road is a mix of concrete and tarmac and therefore a planted verge would not be possible where it was originally proposed. The removal of the verge moves the road to the follow the existing access road above the Water of Leith and increases the size of each private garden. There is no overall loss of green space. 2. Alter driveways to extend the length and thus reduce the gradient for improved pedestrian access to each plot. Extending the driveways is necessary to achieve compliant level access for pedestrian access to each plot. Required following slight alterations in site levels due to site conditions.
