Fife Council's online record shows it granted listed-building consent with conditions on 14 September for 13 solar panels, a battery and an air source heat pump at the Category C listed house at 28 High Road, Auchtermuchty.
The council's report says the panels would go on the rear elevation, with the battery and heat pump beside a modern side extension. Officers judged the equipment would not be readily visible from public viewpoints and would not remove important historic fabric. The report records no physical site visit; officers said digital mapping and online imagery provided enough information to assess the proposal.

One condition requires redundant panels and equipment to be removed within three months of becoming redundant unless otherwise agreed in writing with the Planning Authority. The report also identifies a separate full planning application for the same works. This decision is for listed-building consent; the material reviewed here does not establish the separate application's outcome or whether work has started.
